LONDON: Tottenham are planning to hire an interim manager until the end of the season after Thomas Frank’s dismissal, according to reports on Friday.
Frank was axed on Wednesday after a 2-1 defeat against Newcastle 24 hours earlier left Tottenham languishing just five points above the Premier League relegation zone. The Dane, hired from Brentford last year after Ange Postecoglou’s sacking, paid the price for a miserable run of two wins in 17 league games.
The north London club’s hierarchy are set to appoint an interim boss rather than attempt to bring in a permanent manager for the final three months of the season.
