Over 38,600 Pakistanis deported from Gulf states last year

ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry told the National Assembly on Wednesday that 38,616 Pakistanis were deported from the Gulf countries, including “beggars, thieves and absconders” during the year 2025.

In a written reply to a question of Samina Khalid Ghurki, the Interior Ministry presented a record of the deported Pakistanis stating that out of 38,616 deportations, 6,794 people were deported from UAE; 27,692 from Saudi Arabia; 644 from Qatar; 2,537 from Oman; 163 from Kuwait; and 786 from Bahrain.

According to the interior ministry’s data, 13,418 people were deported in the category of others – 1,742 from UAE; 10,274 from Saudi Arabia; 228 from Qatar; 876 from Oman; 48 from Kuwait; and 250 from Bahrain.

Among the 780 beggars deported from the Gulf countries were 10 from UAE; 767 from Saudi Arabia; two from Qatar and one from Oman.

As many as 6,939 absconders were deported from the Gulf countries -- 740 from UAE; 6,094 from Saudi Arabia; 62 from Qatar; 41 from Oman; and two from Qatar.

Other 190 Pakistanis deported from Gulf countries comprised 66 from UAE; 92 from Saudi Arabia; 11 from Qatar; and 21 from Oman.
