Islamabad: The NUST Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS), in strategic collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, organised a high-level seminar on Wednesday to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

The seminar, anchored in the foundational principles of the ‘Shanghai Spirit,’ served as a dynamic forum to explore the organisation's role as a pivotal force for multipolarity, sustainable development, and equitable international cooperation.

The event positioned the SCO not merely as a regional bloc, but as a powerful expression of the Global South's aspirations for an international system dedicated to sustainable peace, durable stability, and shared prosperity through consensus-based decision-making. The seminar was graced by Ambassador Nabeel Munir as the Chief Guest, whose participation highlighted Pakistan’s strategic commitment to the SCO framework.
