2,333 arrests made in 2025, says FIA report

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has released its performance report for 2025. According to the report submitted to the Ministry of Interior, 26,801 inquiries were registered in 2025, while 41,750 inquiries from 2024 were carried over.

During 2025, a total of 34,078 inquiries were completed, 6,383 cases registered, and 34,473 remained pending. The FIA registered 9,655 cases in 2025, while 26,610 cases from 2024 were pending. Out of the 36,265 cases, charge sheets were submitted to courts in 16,236; 17,339 were finalised and 18,936 cases remain pending.

Overall, 2,333 arrests were made. Courts delivered verdicts in 4,244 cases, and FIA recovered a total of Rs18 billion, which was deposited into the national treasury.
