Chau Hon Man of Hong Kong defeated Mohammad Asif of Pakistan by 4–2, with frame scores of 78(64)-0, 72-22, 57-8, 49-60, 13-74, 72-21.
In another match, Mohamed Shehab of the UAE edged out Rana Irfan of Pakistan by 4–3 after a closely contested encounter. The frame scores were 50-57, 8-66(52), 68-27, 54-45, 8-93, 78-54, 66-27. Meanwhile, the Junior Championship has begun with 29 players divided into eight groups, from which the top two players in each group will qualify for the pre-quarterfinals. On the opening day of junior competition, Hasnain Akhtar of Pakistan defeated Arshiya Dolatabadi of Iran by 3–2 with frame scores of 38-55, 63(56)-42, 14-61, 88(61), 68-2.
