SWABI: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi said on Saturday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would spare no effort to secure the release of their leader Imran Khan.
Addressing a gathering of party workers here in connection with the street movement, he said that it was the prime target of the PTI leaders and workers to drum up support for Imran Khan, who was incarcerated at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
“We will convert the entire country into D-Chowk,” he told party workers amid loud cheers.
The chief minister started his day-long visit to Swabi in connection of street movement from Tehsil Razaar and he was welcomed at Ismalia town on Swabi-Mardan Road.
The chief minister said that he wanted to categorically declare that for PTI leaders and workers Imran Khan’s health was more important. He added that critical reports emanating from the hybrid government were highly unsatisfactory and based on lies, saying that this made the health issue of the PTI founder more controversial.
He said that the street movement was continuing across Pakistan. “The passion and love of the people of Swabi for Imran Khan is unparalleled,” he said.
“A call will be made soon for the release of Imran Khan,” the chief minister remarked. “We have taken every constitutional path, knocked on the door of the law but were not allowed to meet our leader.”
