LAHORE:Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) Railways Abdullah Arshad carried out a surprise inspection of Lasani Express and Narowal Passenger Train on Wednesday.
During the operation, action was taken against passengers travelling without tickets. A total of 199 ticket dodgers were identified, from whom Rs19,020 in fines and Rs33,180 as fare were recovered. The inspection was conducted in the presence of the DCO Special Ticket Checking Group and Commercial Inspector Faisal Nazir. Cleanliness arrangements inside both trains were also reviewed.
Speaking on the occasion, DCO Abdullah Arshad said that Pakistan Railways is committed to providing safe, quality, and respectable travel facilities. He added that, on the instructions of DS Railways Lahore Inamullah, operations against ticketless travel will continue regularly and without discrimination.
