LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has officially opened registration for foreign players ahead of its 11th edition, which is set to begin on March 26. The registration window, announced on the league’s official social media channels, will remain open until February 3, giving international cricketers the opportunity to join what promises to be a landmark season in PSL history.
For the first time since its inception, the PSL will expand to eight franchises, with Hyderabad and Sialkot joining the competition. This expansion reflects the league’s growing popularity and its ambition to broaden its footprint across Pakistan.
In another historic first, PSL 11 will introduce a player auction system, replacing the traditional draft. The auction is scheduled for February 11, with all franchises already briefed during a workshop held on Sunday. The workshop provided detailed insights into the retention rules, auction framework, and bidding process, ensuring transparency and competitive balance.
