Hyderabad: At least eight people were killed and two others injured in a tragic traffic accident in the Kotri Site area of Jamshoro district on late night friday.
According to police, the incident occurred near a rice godown within the limits of Kotri Site Police Station, where a Suzuki Mehran car hit by a high-speed dumper truck. As a result, 6 car occupants including two men and four women along with two children died on the spot.
The two injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital with the assistance of police, where they are reported to be under treatment.
SSP Jamshoro Muhammad Zafar Siddiq Chhanga, Kotri Site police promptly responded to the incident.
District police reached the spot, shifted the bodies and injured to hospital, and took the dumper truck into custody. Further legal action is underway.
