LAHORE: Dr Zia Pharmaceuticals Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2026 concluded at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah, with Muhammad Muaz emerging as the star of the tournament after securing a remarkable triple crown.
His dominant performances across multiple age categories highlighted his growing stature as one of Pakistan’s brightest young tennis prospects. Muaz began his winning streak in the boys’ U-18 singles final, where he outclassed Abdullah Razzaq with an emphatic 8-1 victory. Demonstrating both power and precision, he left little room for his opponent to recover. Building on this momentum, Muaz teamed up with Umar Ali in the U-18 doubles final. The duo displayed excellent coordination and tactical awareness, defeating Muhammad Ahmad Afzal and Muhammad Aayan 6-3 to secure their second crown.
The highlight of Muaz’s campaign came in the boys’ U-14 singles final, where he faced a spirited challenge from Muhammad Aayan. In a nail-biting contest, Muaz held his nerve to clinch the match 7-6, completing his triple crown and cementing his dominance at the championship. In the boys’ U-14 doubles final, Muhammad Aayan and Daniyal Abdullah combined effectively to overcome Ahmad Fareed Yawar and Shahzain Faisal 6-3.
