ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday suspended the decision of the single bench in a case related to the illegal arrest of minor girls and their mother from Lahore and Bahawalpur.
The court issued notices to the parties concerned and sought their response.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Sardar Sarfaraz Dogar and Justice Azam Khan suspended the decision of the single bench regarding the transaction dispute between former CEO PIA Musharraf Rasool and citizens Waqas Ahmed and Sohail Aleem.
It also suspended the order to dismiss the case registered in Tarnol police station against Waqas Ahmed and Sohail Aleem. The order to take legal action against the police and impose a fine of Rs100,000 on the investigating officer was also suspended.
It stayed the implementation of the decision to impose a fine of Rs100,000 each on all the police personnel involved in the raiding team in Lahore without a warrant and take departmental action against them.
A case was registered against Waqas Ahmed and his wife in Tarnol police station.
Waqas Ahmed’s wife and three minor girls were brought by Islamabad police from Lahore. The division bench issued notices to the parties concerned and sought their response at the next hearing.
