Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) provincial leader Allama Hayat Abbas Najafi on Tuesday said that the aggressive policies of the United States (US) were pushing the Middle East toward greater instability, stressing that Iran was an independent and sovereign state and that any interference in its internal affairs was unacceptable.

In a statement issued, Najafi strongly condemned what he described as the US and Israeli interference in Iran’s domestic matters, calling it a clear violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of state sovereignty. He warned that such actions pose a serious threat to global peace and stability.

He said that standing with Iran was, in fact, standing with truth, sovereignty, and oppressed nations across the world. Praising the Iranian people, he said their protests in support of their elected government and against the US and Israeli interference, aggressive policies, and attempts to undermine regional peace were commendable and worthy of support.

“Allama Najafi said the Iranian nation has once again proven that it will not compromise on its sovereignty, national dignity, and freedom under any circumstances,” the statement added.

He further said that political pressure, economic sanctions, and military threats against Iran by the US and Israel were blatant violations of international law and the UN Charter. According to him, these powers seek to safeguard their own interests by keeping the Middle East in a state of constant instability, but the people of the region had now rejected this imperialist agenda.

Expressing complete solidarity with the Iranian government, he said it continued to defend the rights of its people, national sovereignty, and Islamic identity despite immense external pressure. He added that the peaceful protests by the Iranian public in support of their government were proof that when nations awaken, no power could enslave them.

Najafi called on the international community to take notice of what he termed conspiracies, threats, and provocations against Iran by the United States and Israel, and to play a fair and constructive role in ensuring peace and stability in the region.
