MANSEHRA: Private schools and colleges will provide free education to the children of martyred police personnel and offer discounts on monthly and admission fees for children of serving and retired police officials.

“We appreciate private schools and colleges for their kind gesture of announcing relief in fees for the children of martyred, serving, and retired police personnel,” District Police Officer Muhammad Azhar Khan told the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held at his office here on Tuesday. The heads of various schools and colleges attended the ceremony. Azhar Khan and the president of the Private Schools and Colleges Association, Naseem Khan Swati, signed the MoU.

The DPO said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police was a great force which had rendered immense sacrifices in the country’s war against militancy and terrorism in the province.“Our brave personnel and officers stood firm against militancy and terrorism and thwarted aggression,” he added.

According to the MoU, private educational institutions would impart free education to the children of martyred police personnel. They would also provide a 25 per cent and 50 per cent discount on annual admissions and monthly fees, respectively, for the children of in-service and retired police personnel.
