LAHORE:More than 10 million citizens have benefited from 167 government services through 15 e-Khidmat Marakaz across the province, so far. This information was shared during a ceremony held at Arfa Tower on Monday.
It was informed at the ceremony that through e-Khidmat Markaz services, over 1.747 million citizens availed Post Office services, 1.296 million obtained domicile certificates, 1.171 million received learner driving licenses, 0.938 million benefited from CNIC-related services.
0.871 million obtained e-stamp papers, 0.189 million acquired child registration certificates, while 0.137 million citizens received regular driving licenses. At e-Khidmat Marakaz, citizens are being provided hundreds of government services under one roof, including character certificates, birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates, domicile, learner and regular driving licenses, vehicle registration, token tax payment, issuance of CNICs, Nadra e-Sahulat, postal services, vehicle ownership transfer, land records (Fard), route permits, e-stamp papers, arms licenses, and many other essential facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said that crossing the milestone of serving more than 10 million citizens through e-Khidmat Markaz is a practical manifestation of Punjab govt and PITB’s vision for digital governance. He added that in the future, the scope of these centres will be further expanded, and public service delivery will be enhanced through the use of modern technology.
