PESHAWAR: The Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become inactive after

the resignation of Advocate Qazi Muhammad Anwar from the post of provincial president of

the body, creating difficulties for party-affiliated lawyers.

There are also concerns that the ongoing movement for the release of the party’s founding chairman may be badly affected. The ILF demanded that party leadership immediately constitute a new provincial chapter.

Senior advocate, Qazi Muhammad Anwar, stepped down from his position after being ignored by the party in the Pakistan Bar Council. After his resignation, the ILF became non-functional, resulting in disruptions to the forum’s day-to-day affairs.

Sources said that despite several days having passed, the failure to form a new body has caused growing problems for ILF lawyers. They added that the movement for the release of the PTI founder was being seriously impacted.

The absence of coordination with the provincial government on various issues has led to frustration and disappointment among ILF members.Members of the forum appealed to the government and party leadership to immediately announce a new chapter to restore organizational functioning and address the concerns of party lawyers.
