PESHAWAR: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mian Saeed Ahmad on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed Ring Road police checkpost. Upgraded from a police post, the checkpost is located in the jurisdiction of Sarband Police Station.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Superintendent of Police of Cantt Division Abdullah Ihsan, DSP of Pishtakhara Circle Umar Afridi, SHOs, In-charge of Ring Road Checkpost Safdar Khan, along with other police officials and personnel.
A cake was cut during the ceremony, followed by prayers for national development, the establishment of peace, and further success of the police force.SP Cantt Division Abdullah Ihsan briefed the CCPO on the manpower deployed at the checkpost, its jurisdiction, beats, availability of police vehicles, existing facilities, and overall security arrangements.
He hoped that the establishment of the newly constructed police checkpost would not only provide better residential and other facilities to police personnel but would also enhance the public’s sense of security and improve the overall law and order situation in the area. CCPO Mian Saeed Ahmad inspected the new building, including internal and external security arrangements, daily diary, lock-up, and residential facilities for personnel.He directed the officials and personnel present to remain vigilant at all times, strengthen coordination with the public, and make security arrangements more effective.
