ISLAMABAD: Changes have been made to the nominations of civil officers for the mandatory National Security and War Course required for promotion from grade 20 to grade 21 in the federal bureaucracy.
The revisions pertain to the National Security and War Course 2026-27 and the National Management Course (NMC) 2026. According to a letter, sent by the Establishment Division to the President of the National Defence University (NDU), the nomination of one officer has been withdrawn and an additional officer has been nominated in his place. The nomination of Muhammad Shaukat Hayat Cheema, Commissioner Inland Revenue, RTO Quetta, has been withdrawn, while Muhammad Asghar Khan Niazi, Chief (BtB Nanjing), FBR Headquarters Islamabad, has been additionally nominated for the National Security and War Course 2026-27 to be held at NDU. Both grade-20 officers belong to the Inland Revenue Service.
Meanwhile, two grade-20 officers have been nominated for the National Management Course currently commencing at the National School of Public Policy (NSPP). The nominated officers include Inland Revenue Service officer Muhammad Shaukat Hayat Cheema, Commissioner Inland Revenue, RTO Quetta, and Police Service of Pakistan officer Munir Masood, Additional Director General, FIA.
