LAHORE:The Punjab government will continue to fully support all initiatives that promote positive engagement of youth and Punjab Chief Minister has increased the Endowment Fund for athletes to Rs4 billion in 2026.
Provincial Minister for Energy, Youth Affairs and Sports Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar shared this information while addressing the inaugural ceremony of sixth edition of Zalmi Madrassa League at the Punjab University on Friday.
The league is being organised by Zalmi Foundation under the joint collaboration of Punjab government, Punjab University and the Directorate General of Religious Education (DGRE), Government of Pakistan.
Minister of State, Federal Education & Professional Training Wajeeha Qamar, Directorate General of Religious Education Maj-Gen (retd) Dr Ghulam Qamar, Council of Islamic Ideology Chairman Dr M Raghib Hussain Naeemi, PU VC Prof Dr M Ali and Peshawar Zalmi COO Mian Abbas Laiq also attended the opening ceremony.
