Land record of 95 mouzas in Islamabad digitised

Islamabad : The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration in collaboration with the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) have completed scanning and data entry of land record of 95 mouzas out of 114 mouzas in the federal capital.

Moreover, 24 mouzas have been digitized and notified, after which regular computerized ‘fards’ are being issued in these mouzas.

A meeting regarding the digitization of land records in Islamabad was held at the CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by Member Administration Talat Mehmood Gondal, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, Director ICT, Assistant Deputy Commissioner General, relevant officers from CDA and ICT and DG PLRA Capt. (R) Ikram ul Haq.

The meeting was briefed that the digitization of CDA's record is also progressing rapidly. In this regard, the scanning of most records of CDA's formations including Estate Management I, Estate Management II, Estate Affairs, BCS and Revenue Record has been completed. It was informed that soon one entire sector of CDA will be completely digitized as a model.

It was informed that 11 more mouzas will be fully digitized and notified within the next two weeks. Following this, regular computerized transactions will also commence in these mouzas.

The meeting was informed that the process of digitization will be completed after the scanning phase. This initiative will bring transparency and better facilities to citizens in land-related matters.

Chairman CDA said that this initiative is extremely important for safeguarding citizens' investments and their property records. The meeting was also updated on the progress regarding the launch of e-stamp paper. It was informed that the necessary staff training related to e-stamp paper has been completed.
