IG Motorway Police reviews training standards

LAHORE:Inspector General of National Highways and Motorway Police Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry Friday visited the Central Region Office at Babu Sabu, Lahore, and the Motorway Police Training College in Sheikhupura to review operational performance and training standards.

During the visit, Additional Inspector General Central Region Saad Akhtar Bharwana briefed the IG on overall performance, administrative matters and ongoing initiatives of the Central Region. Commandant Training College DIG Asim Gulzar, DIG Dar Ali Khattak, DIG Imran Shahid and sector commanders of the Motorway Police were also present on the occasion.

The IG paid tribute at the Martyrs’ Memorial, offered Fateha and laid a floral wreath, while a guard of honour was also presented to him.At the Training College, the IG inspected classrooms and training facilities, reviewed academic and professional standards, and issued directives for further improvement of the training system. The IG also visited the Driving Licensing Authority to monitor the licensing process and inspected ongoing development projects at the Training College.

Later, he chaired a meeting of all zones of the Central Region, attended by Additional IG Saad Akhtar Bharwana, DIG Asim Gulzar, DIG Dar Ali Khattak and DIG Imran Shahid. During the meeting, zonal commanders presented zone-wise briefings on performance, key challenges and future plans.
