Four doctors appointed

LAHORE:The Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department has appointed four doctors to PGMI / AMC / LGH.

The new appointees include Dr Ghias-ul-Hassan (Associate Prof of Gastroenterology), Dr Hafiz Muhammad Faisal Nadeem (Assistant Professor Pulmonology), Dr Tayyaba Waseem (Assistant Prof Anesthesia) and Dr Muhammad Maqsood (Assistant Prof Medicine).

These appointments consist of three successful candidates from the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) and one promoted doctor from the Punjab Health Dept. All four specialists have officially assumed their professional responsibilities in their respective depts. Principal Amir-ud-Din Medical College, Prof Dr Farooq Afzal, stated that the induction of experienced and talented doctors is a significant milestone for the institution.

Man commits suicide

A 40-yearold man allegedly died by suicide in Samanabad after reportedly becoming distressed over domestic issues here Wednesday. The deceased identified as Shiraz allegedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan inside his home. —Correspondent
