Education is about more than classrooms and textbooks. It is the cornerstone of opportunity and social transformation. In Pakistan, over 26 million children remain out-of-school, particularly in marginalized communities, highlighting the urgent need for non-formal education (NFE). Yet, the success of these programmes depend critically on one group: the teachers and trainers who bring learning to life. NFE classrooms are unique. Learners often span multiple ages, come with gaps in foundational knowledge or face socio-cultural barriers to education.

This complexity demands trainers who can equip teachers with multi-grade teaching skills, activity-based learning strategies and phonics-based literacy techniques. As we strive to fulfil Article 25-A of the constitution, strengthening NFE trainers is an urgent necessity. By empowering teachers, we empower communities, one learner at a time.
