ISLAMABAD: The government on Thursday temporarily housed the Federal Constitutional Court, established under the 27th Constitutional Amendment, at the Federal Shariat Court building situated on the Constitution Avenue.
Similarly, the Federal Shariat Court was temporarily housed in the Islamabad High Court building, Islamabad.
According to a notification issued here on Thursday by the Ministry of Law and Justice, President Asif Ali Zardari, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause 2 of Article 175B, temporarily housed the Federal Constitutional Court at the Federal Shariat Court building, situated on Constitution Avenue, Islamabad, and the Federal Shariat Court in the Islamabad High Court building, Islamabad.
Meanwhile, the President of the Constitutional Court of Republic of Türkiye, Kadir Özkaya, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Justice Aminuddin Khan on his appointment as the first Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan.
