CHARSADDA: Two female schoolteachers were gunned down while they were on their way to their duty in the jurisdiction of Parang Police Station on Thursday. According to details, unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire on two schoolteachers of a government high school named Sadarat Begum and Nida Shamsher, the residents of Parang.
As a result the former killed on the spot while the latter sustained critical bullet injuries. The attack occurred when the teachers were waiting on the roadside for transport to go to the Government High School, Shah Pasand Killay. In the meantime, two unidentified armed motorcyclists approached and opened fire.
Both victims were first shifted to a nearby hospital while injured Nida Shamsher was later referred to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar. However, she later succumbed to her injuries. The police have registered a case against unknown assailants as the families of both victims had not nominated anyone in the first information report (FIR).
