ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik has said that certain elements continue to propagate a negative and misleading narrative against Pakistan, causing serious harm to the country’s political environment and youth, Radio Pakistan reported.

Addressing a press conference alongside Parliamentary Secretary for Information Barrister Danyal Chaudhry in Islamabad today, he said that these individuals routinely make delusional and baseless statements, which their party members immediately echo.

He said social media accounts, many of which even their own leadership cannot identify, further amplify this toxic misinformation.

The Minister of State reminded the opposition of its constitutional responsibility, saying the people elected them to play a constructive and positive role in Parliament. However, he pointed out that their lack of interest is visible in key legislative matters, including the 26th and 27th Constitutional Amendments.

In his remarks, Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said PTI is engaged in propaganda against Pakistan and its state institutions.

He said the party’s politics is built on false narratives that damaged the country’s reputation during its tenure and is now attempting to undermine the positive and upward economic trajectory Pakistan is experiencing today.
