Punjab makes bureaucratic reshuffle

LAHORE: The Punjab government has carried out a significant reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy, issuing a series of high-level transfers and postings across key departments.

In the latest changes, Secretary Tourism Ehsan Bhutta has been appointed as Secretary Auqaf, while Secretary Auqaf Suqrat Aman Rana has been transferred to serve as Secretary Tourism. Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Muzaffar Khan has been directed to report to the Services Department.

The Secretary Forest Department, Mudasar Riaz Malik, has been posted as Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports, whereas Special Secretary Forest Tahir Zafar Abbasi has been elevated to Secretary Forest.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Saleem Afzal has been appointed Secretary Fisheries. Faisal Fareed has been posted as Chief Operating Officer TEVTA. Shahzaib Hasnain has been appointed Additional Secretary (Admin) in the Transport and Mass Transit Authority, and Maham Asif Malik has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Home Department. Further changes include the posting of Farhan Farooq as Additional Secretary in the School Education Department, Ameera Baidar as Additional Secretary Specialized Healthcare, and Waseem Hameed as Additional Secretary Welfare (Services Department). Haider Abbas has been appointed Additional Secretary Human Rights.

Additionally, Muhammad Ashraf has been posted as Director Mines and Minerals, Safiullah Khan as Additional Director General PDMA, and Shamaila Manzoor as Director A&F in the Punjab Road Safety Authority.
