PHC CJ inaugurates judicial complex in Karak

KARAK: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Syed Muhammad Atiq Shah on Tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed judicial complex and judicial academy during his visit to Karak district.

The officials of the district administration and legal fraternity attended the ceremony in large numbers.District and Sessions Judge Syed Yasir Shabbir and Additional District and Sessions Judges Muhammad Sher Ali Khan Yousafzai, Nusrat Naz, Muhammad Sajjad Khan, Muhammad Fayyaz and Qaiser Khan Afridi attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief justice said that the prime job of the judiciary was to provide speedy justice to the people. “Though we provide justice every day, sometimes we do not see justice being done and it is our responsibility to fill this gap,” he added.

The chief justice further said that the judicial complex has been completed with a huge amount of Rs 2.5 billion and all modern facilities were available there. He added that a solar system would be installed to modernize the complex and efforts were being made to bring the judicial complex in district Karak to an exemplary level. He appreciated the mutual relationship between judges and lawyers and said that judges and lawyers. The chief justice was of the opinion that the justice system was strengthened only when there was mutual cooperation between the two. On the occasion, District and Sessions Judge Syed Yasir Shabbir, while addressing the ceremony, said that 18 courts are functional in the judicial complex and a library has been updated according to modern requirements. He said that plans were under consideration to further modernize the complex.
