KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has transferred the services of Prof Dr Khalid Sher, a senior neurologist from Jinnah Sindh Medical University (BS-21), to the Health Department and appointed him as the executive director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) on a three-year deputation.
The official notification, issued on December 1, 2025, by the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department (SGA&CD), states that the appointment takes effect immediately. The order was signed by Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah.
Copies of the notification have been circulated to the Health Department, Finance Department, Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Sindh Government Printing Press, and other relevant authorities for necessary action. Officials say the appointment aims to strengthen administrative leadership at the JPMC and improve service delivery at one of Sindh’s most critical public healthcare institutions.
