Lashings power past Imran Memorial

ISLAMABAD: Lashings Club achieved a mammoth 271 run-win against Imran Memorial in the JJS PCB Inter-Club Cricket match at Margallah Ground Monday.

Mohammad Suleman Junior (181 not out) and Asad Afridi (106) sent Imran Memorial fielders on leather hunt, striking centuries with breathtaking displays of batting. Both put on 197 runs for the opening wicket as Lashings struck 362 for 3 in 40 overs. Suleman smashed 19 boundaries and three fours in his innings with Asad hitting four sixes and ten fours during his stay at the wicket.

Zubair Afridi then spun the victory web around Imran Memorial with an outstanding figures of 6-26, showcasing his off spin talent in a brilliant way. Imran Memorial could only manage 91. Mohammad Hayat 2-19 also bowled well. Hammad Abbas (31) was the only notable run-getter for Imran Memorial.
