SUKKUR: Kashmore police averted the kidnapping of a Peshawar resident, lured to Katcha area with a false promise of marriage, using technical information.
The rescued citizen, Syed Israr, told police he had received a phone call from a woman, and he contacted her many times. Finally, he said, she agreed to marry him and invited him to Kashmore.
SSP Kashmore Muhammad Murad Ghanghro said public is requested not to go to Katcha area through fake calls and messages to prevent themselves from being honey trapped. He advised people if they receive a call asking for friendship, marriage, job, cheap car, livestock or other scams, immediately inform the local police.
