Rawalpindi:Postmaster General (PMG) Northern Punjab Faisal Tahseen has said that after the active participation of postal employees in sports activities, it has been decided to expand its scope to the national level.
He was addressing the prize distribution ceremony after the final sports competitions held at Rawalpindi Gordon College in which Principal Gordon College Dr. Muhammad Gulfraz Abbasi, Deputy Postmaster General Zakirullah, Administrator sports event Khalil Ahmed and other postal officers participated.
The PMG said that after Lahore circle, competitions were held in two places in Northern Punjab Circle, Rawalpindi and Sargodha. Organizing a sports gala 2025 in a very short period and participation of employees in various events is very encouraging and commendable. Director General Pakistan Post Samiullah Khan has decided to organize sports galas in all circles across the country.
The finals were won by Hafiz Muhammad Tahir (Rawalpindi GPO) in chess, Rana Muhammad Irshad (Circle Office) in carrom & volleyball (Rawalpindi Division), cricket (Murree Kahuta Division), tug-of-war (Rawalpindi City) and badminton (Circle Office).
