ISLAMABAD: The one-man commission appointed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed the Evacuee Trust Properties Board (ETPB) to recover government land in Sohrab Goth, Gajro, Superhighway, from illegal occupation.
Acting on the instructions of the ETPB chairman, the department has decided to launch an operation to reclaim the land. Former Karachi Deputy Administrator Asif Khan, who is currently posted in Lahore, has been assigned a special task to oversee the operation and has been attached to the Karachi office for two weeks. The authority has also instructed officials to seek assistance from the revenue department and law enforcement agencies to ensure recovery of the property.
