IGP visits Kohat and Hangu

KOHAT: Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Kohat Abbas Majeed Marwat visited Kohat and Hangu on Thursday to review the security situation after the terrorist attack.

During the briefing, RPO Kohat Abbas Majeed Marwat updated the IGP on the overall law and order situation, ongoing search operations, security at sensitive locations and recent threats of terrorism.

The IGP praised the timely and courageous response of the police force during the attack, saying that the bravery shown by Hangu police was yet another example of the unwavering sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.

He said the morale of the police remains high, and the force would continue to pursue terrorists wherever they were and bring them to justice. The IGP also visited the Hangu Police Lines, where he laid floral wreaths and offered prayers at the Martyrs Monument.

Later, the IGP and RPO met the families of the fallen officers, listened to their concerns, and expressed heartfelt sympathy.The IGP said that police personnel are laying down their lives to protect the people’s lives and property, and these sacrifices are the true identity of the police.
