ISLAMABAD: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Tahir Abbas Supra declared former opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan a proclaimed offender (PO) for his continued non-appearance despite summons.
On Wednesday, during the hearing of the case related to the October 4 protest, the court declared Omar Ayub a PO and sought details of his property. The court also issued instructions to block Omar Ayub’s passport and identity card. A case has been registered against him at the Noon Police Station under terrorism provisions.
In another case, statements of three more prosecution witnesses were recorded in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousuf, which is under trial in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka. During the hearing, public prosecutor Raja Naveed Hussain appeared in the court. Statements of three more prosecution witnesses were recorded. The owner of the showroom that provided a vehicle to the accused Omar Hayat, the driver and police officer recorded their statements.
The defence lawyers could not cross-examine the witnesses. The court adjourned the hearing of the case until December 6. A total of 13 witnesses have been recorded in the case.
