Cambridge has announced the Cambridge Learner Awards for students from Sindh and Balochistan, the ceremony of which was held in Karachi on Wednesday, with the chief guest being Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah.
More than 106 students from Sindh and Balochistan were given 120 awards for exceptional performance. At the ceremony, 26 students who scored the highest marks in the world in the Cambridge IGCSE, O-Level and International AS&A Level examinations and 53 students who scored the highest marks in Sindh were also honoured.
This year, 317 students from across Pakistan received 355 awards for exceptional performance in Cambridge IGCSE, O-Level and International AS&A Level examinations. Eighty-three students topped the global awards with 63 Top in Country Awards and 11 High Achievement Awards. Among the 26 students from Sindh and Balochistan who scored the highest marks worldwide are Aun Muhammad Asad of Jaffer Public School in Additional Mathematics, Muhammad Ayan Nadeem of Generation School in Additional Mathematics, Abdullah Siddique of Karachi Grammar School in Economics, Roshan Mehnaz of Generation School in English Language, Elsa Irfan of Happy Home School, Ayman of Beacon House School System, Faris Ahmed Jamali of Karachi Grammar School, Hussam Bin Tariq of Foundation Public School O-Levels, Mehed Khalil of Beacon House School System, Muhammad Salman of Froebel Education Centre, Muhammad Ayaz Kashif of St. Michael Convent School, Muhammad Ayan Nadeem of Generation School, Muhammad Talha Tariq of Beacon House School System, Sana Nancy of Karachi Grammar School, Syed Muhammad Hashmi of Happy Home O-Level School in Mathematics Syllabus D, Hamdan Muhammad of Delsol The A School in Physics, Ibrahim Talal of Beacon House School System in Physics, Zoya Isfan of The Cedar School PECHS Campus in Enterprise, Bay View Academy Absar Ahmed of (Clifton Campus), Anaya Shahzad of The Learning Tree, Abdul Samad of Bay View High School, Warisha Faisal of Nixor School and Zoya Sheikh of Beacon House School topped in Mathematics (without syllabus), Noor Fatima of Beacon House School in Pakistan Studies, Shanze Ahmed of Karachi Grammar School and Zara Inayat of Nixor College topped in Sociology.
