The search committee has selected candidates for the posts of vice chancellors of two public sector universities of Sindh, Sheikh Ayaz University Shikarpur and Tando Jam Agriculture University.
The names of Dr. Mir Muhammad Shah, Dr. Niaz Ahmed Bhutto and Dr. Naveed Ahmed Sheikh have been selected for the post of vice chancellor of Sheikh Ayaz University Shikarpur, while the names of Dr. Ismail Kanbhar, Dr. Jan Muhammad Marri and Dr. Altaf Sial have been selected for the post of vice chancellor of Tando Jam Agriculture University.
The Boards and Universities Department has sent the names of the candidates to the home department to obtain security clearance from the ISI and the IB. On the other hand, despite the security clearance of the three candidates for the VCs of the University of Sindh being positive, the summary is lying at the Chief Minister’s House and the vice chancellor to the University of Sindh has not been appointed yet.
For the post of VC of the University of Sindh, Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri stood first with 74.40 marks, Dr. Khalilur Rehman Kambati stood second with 63.20 marks, while Dr. Tariq Rahim Soomro secured 63 marks.
