The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has invited applications for the post of chairperson of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
According to the advertisement published on the National Job Portal, candidates must have at least 15 years of experience in higher education, including a minimum of 10 years of post-PhD experience, a distinguished portfolio of research publications, and international eminence with academic and administrative expertise.
The maximum age limit is 65 years as of the last date for submission, which is September 10, 2025. The chairperson will be appointed by the prime minister for a two-year term, extendable for another similar term, and will receive the approved “Chairperson HEC Salary Package.” Applicants are required to submit a detailed CV, names of five confidential referees, testimonials, a written statement of up to 1,000 words, and a passport-sized photograph via the National Job Portal.
