LAHORE:Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Faisal Kamran chaired an anti-crime meeting of the Model Town Division to review the division's anti-crime performance of June/

The DIG directed the SHOs to control theft incidents in their respective jurisdictions.He assigned the SHOs of Ichhra, Nasirabad, and Ghalib Market the task of arresting proclaimed offenders (POs) and ask them to take action against the sale and distribution of ice (crystal meth). He asked SHOs of Nishtar Colony and Kahna to improve their performance. The SHO of Kot Lakhpat was directed to control motorcycle theft and fraud cases. He asked all officers to keep the LTEC set fully functional.

The DIG said mistreatment of women and children would not be tolerated.He said all Muharram programmes are important. He directed cops to personally inspect the security arrangements for religious gatherings and processions.

Meanwhile, the DIG during his open public hearing at his office warned citizens to remain cautious amid the growing trend of online fraud, fake calls, and social media scams.He asked the public not to rely on unverified promises or make hasty decisions regarding property deals, vehicle purchases, online shopping, or investments.He listened to complaints and issued immediate instructions for their resolutions.
