PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa spokesperson Shaukat Yousafzai on Wednesday said the provincial government had decided to present a budget for the entire fiscal year.

In a statement, he said Chief Minister Sohail Afridi wanted to present a three-month budget if a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan could not take place. However, legal complications emerged regarding the presentation of a three-month budget, therefore, it had been decided to present the budget for the entire fiscal year, he clarified.

Shaukat Yousafzai said the province could face financial difficulties if a full-year budget was not presented. He added that the party had therefore advised the chief

minister to present a budget for the entire fiscal year in the larger interest of the province.

He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget was likely to be presented in the provincial assembly on June 19.
