ABBOTTABAD: The Rector of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar, visited the Abbottabad Campus to review the ongoing development of the university’s permanent campus at Dhamtour and assess the progress of construction activities.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Zakir Hussain, Director of the CUI Abbottabad Campus, briefed the Rector on various aspects of the permanent campus project, including construction progress, development milestones, and future expansion plans. The Rector inspected different sections of the construction site and reviewed the pace and quality of the ongoing work.
Expressing satisfaction with the progress achieved so far, Dr. Raheel Qamar directed the officials concerned to ensure timely completion of the project while strictly adhering to the highest standards of construction quality and safety.
Later, a meeting was held at the Abbottabad Campus to discuss administrative, academic, and development-related matters.The meeting was attended by Dr. Faheem Qureshi, Registrar; Azam Khan, Treasurer; Dr. Sajjad Madni, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Shahid Khattak, Dean; and Aamir Yousafzai, In-charge Planning & Development (P&D), along with other senior university officials. The participants deliberated on issues related to campus development, enhancement of academic and research activities, infrastructure improvement, and future strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the university’s educational mission.
