KARACHI: M Yahya, Raahim Veqar, Rashid Bachani, and Ayan Shahbaz won titles at 2nd Sohail University National Tennis Championship that concluded at Modern Club here on Sunday.
In the final of men’s singles, Raahim Veqar beat Haziq Areejo (Baseline Tennis Academy) 8-6 to clinch the title. In the final of juniors under-18 singles, M Yahya (Islamabad) defeated Rashid Bachani (SNGPL) 6-1, 6-4 to claim the title. In the final of boys under-14 singles, Rashid Bachani (SNGPL) overpowered M Muaz Shahbaz (Lahore) 7-6, 6-7, 6-3 to win the title.
In the final of boys under-12 singles, Aayan Shahbaz won against Majid Bachani 5-4, 4-2 to take the title.
The final of men’s doubles was clinched by Mahatir and Ruhab by winning against Farzan and Raahim Veqar. In the final of 55 plus doubles, M. Ilrifat and Javed Iqbal took the title by defeating Razi Nawab and M. A. Saeed.
