LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Sunday that the Regional Inter-District U19 One-Day tournament will begin on Monday (June 15), featuring 103 districts and zones and more than 1,600 Under-19 players competing in 50-over red-ball matches across the country.
The month-long competition, staged across 16 regions, is designed to broaden the talent pipeline and give young cricketers sustained, competitive exposure. Each region will run its own series of fixtures in June and July, with winners and runners-up in every region receiving PKR 200,000 and PKR 100,000 respectively, the PCB said in its official release.
The tournament opens simultaneously in multiple centres. Matches will begin in Multan and Larkana on Monday, in Karachi and Dera Murad Jamali on Tuesday, and will start in Abbottabad, Bahawalpur and Hyderabad on Thursday.
