ISLAMABAD: In the federal budget for fiscal year 2026–27, a total estimated allocation of Rs26.691 billion (Rs26,691,495,000) has been set aside for the superior judiciary, elections, and the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment.
According to the budget documents, Rs7.440bn (Rs7,440,754,000) has been allocated for the Supreme Court, Rs6.047bn (Rs6,047,694,000) for the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC), Rs2.366bn (Rs2,366,933,000) for the Islamabad High Court (IHC), and Rs10.577bn (Rs10,577,573,000) for elections.
Additionally, Rs250.841 million has been allocated for the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment.
These funds are designated for employees’ salaries, allowances, operational expenses, retirement benefits, grants and subsidies, transfers, assets, and maintenance.
