KARACHI: Indus Motor Company (IMC) has won the ‘Best Use of AI in Content Creation’ award at Pakistan Digital Awards (PDA) 2026 for its road safety awareness campaign, ‘Aik Pal Ki Laparwahi’ (A Moment of Carelessness).
The company becomes the first automotive manufacturer in Pakistan to win a road safety content award and the first to receive recognition at the PDA for an AI-generated campaign, IMC announced on Tuesday.
Developed under IMC’s Toyota Road Improvement Program (TRIP), the campaign used artificial intelligence to highlight the dangers of seatbelt non-compliance, mobile phone use while driving, and momentary lapses in concentration behind the wheel.Commenting on the recognition, IMC Chief Executive Officer Ali Asghar Jamali said the campaign demonstrated how innovation and creativity could address a critical social issue.
