KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) said that the preparations of the national hockey team to participate in the FIH Pro League competitions have entered the final stages, and the national squad will leave for an important tour of Belgium and the United Kingdom in the next few days. Pakistan Hockey Team Enters Final Phase of TrainingA PHF spokesman issued a statement on

Saturday.

According to the statement, the national squad has been selected under the supervision of the Pakistan Hockey Federation’s Professional Development Committee, national selectors, and coaching staff. During the selection process, the players’ fitness, recent form, technical abilities, tactical skills, discipline, and overall performance in training camps were rigorously assessed.

The players have been put through a comprehensive training program for tough international competitions. The coaching staff has expressed complete satisfaction with the players’ determination, professional attitude, and fitness during the camp.

The federation has made comprehensive arrangements for the players’ facilities during the training camp and the upcoming tour. Special care has been taken regarding the players’ accommodation, balanced diet, medical support, modern training facilities, and travel logistics. Similar arrangements have been finalized in Belgium and the UK so that the players can focus their full attention on the game without any mental stress.

Clarifying recent media speculation, the PHF said that one player was undergoing rehabilitation before the start of the camp and is being provided with proper medical assistance, while another player suffered a minor injury during routine training at the camp. Both players are being looked after professionally, and the PHF is fully committed to their treatment.

The federation clarified that no complaints were received from any player or coach regarding accommodation, food, medical facilities, or administrative matters during the entire camp. Therefore, the reports being circulated by a section of the media are baseless and contrary to reality.
