Due to the early closure of shops, markets and businesses in Islamabad at 8pm, many business owners are taking on losses as sales have decreased. These days, most people prefer to shop after 7pm due to the hot summer weather. Consequently, most productive business hours are being lost. This situation is not only effecting business owners but also causes inconveniences the people, who are unable to purchase things for their daily use. I request the government to please extend the working hours to 10pm and to implement energy saving lights and reduce unnecessary electricity consumption in order to preserve energy austerity goals. This approach would balance economic concerns and energy conservation.
