Islamabad: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the National Police Academy (NPA) to review the progress of its ongoing upgradation project, directing authorities to accelerate the development work.
During the visit, the minister chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the advancements made on various development schemes within the academy. It was reported that significant progress has been achieved at the Elite Training School, where construction of the rappelling tower is 80 percent complete, while work on the jogging track and obstacle course has reached 70 percent completion.
Minister Naqvi set a strict two-month deadline for the completion of the firing range and the boundary wall at the Elite School. In a move towards sustainable energy, the meeting reached a decision to transition the National Police Academy to solar power in a phased manner. Furthermore, the Interior Minister gave an in-principle approval to revise the Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) curriculum and issued directives to equip all classrooms with modern information technology facilities to enhance training standards.
The review meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority, the IG of Islamabad Police, the Deputy Commandant of the National Police Academy, and the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, among other high-ranking officers.
