LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has formally announced a National Under-21 hockey training camp in Islamabad as part of its plan to promote hockey nationwide and prepare the next generation of players.

According to details given by a PHF official, the camp will begin on June 5, 2026 at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. Young players selected through the Open Trials 2026 held across the country will take part.

The PHF said the camp is part of its wide-ranging strategy to strengthen Pakistan’s hockey talent pipeline and develop a new generation capable of representing the country at the international level.

The PHF Selection Committee has released the final list of probables picked after the open trials. The PHF has directed all selected players to bring their original National Identity Card (NIC) to the camp and report immediately as per the given schedule to make full use of this opportunity.

The federation expressed hope that these young players will become the reason for Pakistan hockey’s international success in the future. The PHF reiterated that reviving Pakistan hockey depends on investing in youth, and this camp is a key step toward that goal.
