ISLAMABAD: The Balochistan government on Wednesday informed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that holding of by-elections in NA-256 Khuzdar remains impossible at present due to worsening law and order conditions, including terrorist presence, tribal disputes and security challenges in the mountainous constituency.

The briefing was given during a meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja and attended by ECP members, chief secretary and inspector general of police (IGP), Balochistan, ECP secretary and other senior officials.
