Pakistani delegation showcases industrial potential in trade expo

Islamabad : In a significant move to bolster bilateral economic ties, the Mazhar Hussain Thathal Chairman/ CEO Global Trade and Expo Centre (GTEC) Pakistan led the ‘5th Pakistan-France Trade and Business Delegation May 2026’ to the Foire de Paris trade exhibition in Paris France. The potential trade delegation focused on showcasing Pakistani industrial potential and fostering new collaborations within the French trade market, says press release.

Chairman Mazhar Thathal and Director of International Trade Liaqat Thathal spearheaded the mission, with the representation of High-level business community including President of Mardan chamber of small traders and industry and senior members of Chambers of Commerce, including Mardan, Sialkot, Haripur, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad, participated in 5th Pakistan Traders Delegation - with the main objective to explore the French consumer market at one of Europe’s largest trade fairs and identify innovative business ideas for bilateral investment and trade opportunities. French exhibitors expressed keen interest in Pakistani trade potential, setting the stage for follow-up delegations and long-term industrial partnerships.

The Foire de Paris 2026 held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, served as the primary stage for the Pakistani delegation to engage with international innovators. Mazhar Thathal emphasized that this fifth consecutive mission underscores Pakistan’s commitment to the French market and the global standing of GTEC.

The delegation members, representing a diverse cross-section of Pakistan’s economy through their respective Chambers of Commerce, spent the week analysing consumer trends and French craftsmanship.
